Beta Seel

On the 17th, some beta Pokemon designs turned up in a manga focusing on the life of Pokemon's creator. And those designs matched up with the index numbers of Pokemon in Red+Blue that were registered as Missingno.

/vp/ had a thread analyzing these beta Pokemon, and some even trying to recreate the art/sprite of them based on low quality images. One of these images, due to the low quality, was very difficult to figure out just what exactly it was. A lot of anons leaned on it being Seel's beta or even being some odd-looking creature that had some relation to Shellder/Jynx.

One anon in particular interpreted it as the possible origin of gen I's Surfing sprite, something that I thought was pretty neat. And so I tried to recreate it myself to see what it might've looked like.

Some kind of cute seal creature we never got and instead got the Seel we know today. I would've used this guy in a heart beat had he existed.
